Simple Notes privacy policy
Effective date: September 6, 2026
What Simple Notes collects
When you create an account, Simple Notes collects your email address and authentication information. When you use sync, it stores the titles and contents of your notes.
How your data is used
Your email address is used to create and secure your account. Your notes are used to provide synchronization across your devices. Simple Notes does not sell your personal information or use note content for advertising.
Service providers and security
Simple Notes uses Supabase for authentication, database storage, and related hosting services. Data sent between the app and the service uses HTTPS. Notes are also stored in the app's encrypted local database on your device. No security measure can guarantee absolute security, but reasonable measures are used to protect your data.
Retention and deletion
Your account and synced notes are retained while your account is active. You can delete them from the account menu in the app or through the public account deletion page. Deletion removes the Supabase Auth account, synced notes, local notes, and encrypted session data. Some limited records may remain temporarily in backups or logs and will be removed according to the service provider's retention processes.
Children's privacy
Simple Notes is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Privacy questions
